At Quinlan’s Medical Equipment & Supply, we are dedicated to bringing the latest advancements in diabetes care directly to our community in Upstate New York. We are proud to offer the iLet Bionic Pancreas System, a revolutionary automated insulin delivery device designed to reduce the mental burden of managing Type 1 diabetes. Unlike traditional pumps that require complex math and precise carb counting, the iLet system uses intelligent algorithms to autonomously dose insulin based on your body's needs. By simply entering your weight and announcing meals as "Breakfast," "Lunch," or "Dinner," the iLet learns you—making it one of the most user-friendly options for patients aged 6 and older.
As your trusted local DME provider, Quinlan’s ensures you have seamless access to the full ecosystem of Beta Bionics products. Whether you are transitioning from daily injections or switching from another pump, our team is here to support your journey. We stock the essential supplies you need to stay on track, including the Inset™ and Contact™ Detach infusion sets, as well as glass cartridges. Furthermore, because the iLet pairs effortlessly with leading CGMs like the Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7, and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, we can help coordinate all your diabetic supply needs in one place, ensuring you spend less time managing prescriptions and more time living your life.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the iLet different from my current diabetes care of multiple daily injections (MDI)?
The iLet is an Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system, meaning it automatically adjusts and delivers insulin based on glucose values from your continuous glucose monitor. Click here for additional information on switching from MDI to iLet.
How is the iLet different from other Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems?
The iLet Bionic Pancreas is the only insulin delivery system that makes 100% of dosing decisions without the settings your provider typically determines. Unlike other AID systems, the iLet only needs one number – your weight – to initiate automated insulin delivery. Once initiated, the iLet does not require carb counting* to deliver meal-time doses and will continuously adapt to your insulin needs. Click here for additional information on switching from other AID Systems to the iLet.
*The user must be carb aware.
What is carb awareness?
The iLet does not require a user to enter an exact carb amount to give a meal dose. It does require that the user announce the meal as ‘Breakfast’, ‘Lunch’ or ‘Dinner’ AND provide an estimate of the carb content as ‘Usual for me’, ‘More’, or ‘Less’ for that meal type. This estimate of carb content is referred to as ‘carb awareness’.
What kind of infusion sets are available for use with the iLet?
The following infusion sets are available for use with the iLet:
- Convatec Inset™ (6mm cannula length)
- Convatec contact™ detach (6mm cannula length)
How often should I change my infusion set?
You should follow the infusion set manufacturer’s guidance on how often to change your infusion set. You can find the manufacturer’s guidance on the infusion set’s original packaging.
